OG&E Linemen at Work

Company Overview

Since 1902, OGE Energy Corp. (NYSE: OGE) has been energizing life for customers in Oklahoma and western Arkansas – it is the purpose behind everything we do. Headquartered in Oklahoma City, OK, OGE Energy is a domestic energy delivery company whose very reason for existing is to deliver the life-sustaining and life-enhancing products and services our customers depend on. But that’s just the beginning. Providing the highest level of customer service, leveraging technology to expand and enhance the customer experience, and honoring our commitment to grow and strengthen the communities where we live and work are just a few of the things that drive our employees forward every day. This is our noble purpose and it energizes us as we look to the future growth of our company through the lens of our three priorities: growing our business, growing our communities and growing our employees.

OGE Energy is the parent company of Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company (OG&E), a regulated electric utility. OGE also holds 25.5 percent limited partner interest and 50 percent general partner interest in Enable Midstream Partners, LP (NYSE: ENBL).

Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company (OG&E)

Oklahoma Gas & Electric Company, is Oklahoma’s largest electric utility. With more than 7,000 MW of electric generation capacity, fueled by natural gas, low-sulfur coal, wind and solar, OG&E is a recognized leader in smart technology. OG&E was among the first in the country to deploy customer driven demand response technology and programs and we leverage this technology to expand and enhance the customer experience, while improving efficiencies throughout our organization.

In 2020, we will begin the Oklahoma Grid Enhancement plan (OGE Plan) in Oklahoma to further enhance our system, making it more reliable, resilient, secure and efficient for the benefit of our customers. The OGE Plan focuses on the installation of new technology, equipment, and communication systems that promote a self-healing grid. System improvements like these create value by reducing service interruptions for our customers, preventing truck rolls, improving efficiencies and reducing costs. Based on calculations using the Department of Energy’s Interruption Cost Estimate (ICE) Calculator tool, these investments will benefit customers by more than $1.9 billion over a thirty-year period, while the average year-over-year increase to retail rates for the five-year program is less than 1%.

The energy we deliver is more than electrical. We energize life.
