COVID-19 Business Assistance

 

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act that was passed by Congress on March 27 includes various programs and initiatives to provide small business owners, non-profits and other employers with financial assistance related to COVID-19. The CARES Act includes the Paycheck Protection Program, which offers assistance paying utility bills, payroll costs, mortgage interest and rent. Other programs include Economic Injury Disaster Loans and Emergency Grants, and Small Business Debt Relief.

As a result of the CARES Act, the Federal Reserve has created the Main Street Lending Program to provide a total of $600 billion in financing for small and medium-sized businesses. The program’s start date has yet to be announced, but resources are available for you to check eligibility and get ready to apply.
